What is a "flatwall"?

Its not as obvious as we think. A representative from a large company asked me about installing one. I got out of answering but im sure it will come up again soon.

Maybe he meant smoothwall which is drywall finished to a smooth finish that will look good untextured. In some areas of the country it is assumed that the drywall will be textured unless a smooth finish is requested
